Most contact with a customer ends the moment they've bought once — nothing brings them back to mind after that unless something new gives them a reason. Yet winning back a past customer is almost always easier than finding a new one, because they've already trusted you once.
It isn't a failing on the customer's part. Amid hundreds of pages and ads competing for attention every day, a shop they last messaged two months ago is easy to forget entirely. Reminding them is the seller's job, not the customer's.
Sending "New offer!" on repeat gets tuned out fast. What actually works is relevance — something connected to what the customer bought before, or a genuinely personal note. "The product from your last order is back in stock" beats a generic discount message by a wide margin, simply because it's relevant to them specifically.
A re-engagement message is still a marketing broadcast, so the same opt-in rules apply: send it only to customers who've opted in, and not too often. Messaging the same customer more than once a month for re-engagement stops feeling helpful and starts feeling like noise.
A past customer hasn't forgotten you because they're gone for good. There's still a window to remind them — but it has to be done right.
Bondhu CRM remembers each customer's last order and buying pattern, so re-engagement messages stay relevant instead of generic — and it tracks who's been messaged recently, so no one gets re-engagement messages back to back.
At the right moment, with a relevant message — for a fraction of what finding a new customer costs.
